We’ve had nothing but great care for our pets from Angel Oak!

I recently brought my beloved cat of 12 years for a visit he was not eating and very lethargic. Dr Rivers treated him and discovered a large abscess which she treated. Labs showed he was also diabetic. Here is where we got off track. I was told there is a new amazing medication that is a liquid to treat his diabetes. The medication would be less expensive than insulin and continual lab work. I ordered the medicine and in the next few days my cat became very lethargic and was wheezing and hiding. I was seen for an emergency visit during office hours and told he did not have a respiratory condition and he was reacting to healing. My instinct was to get another opinion. It turns out Bizzy was severely suffering from impacted bowels and left untreated with diabetes it could be fatal. Regarding the $300 new medicine (6 week supply) that is a brand new drug and not a drug to give a 12 year old ill cat. Insulin is $35 a month and a blood sugar monitor that is attached to my cat that costs $50. I was financially mislead and a simple X-ray could have solved a very painful experience my cat went through.
